I constantly am evolving my educational philosophy:
Normalize praising the artistic process over praising an end product. Curiosity and creativity will be valued as intelligence. Students need to feel safe, challenged, and accountable. Practicing honesty and vulnerability will be a priority in collaborating as a healthy community. Students are invited to incorporate their passions into the work they do.
Cultural responsiveness, inclusivity for all ability levels, and anti-bias practices are priorities that I constantly fight to better through social-emotional learning strategies.
